Yesterday got away from me and I didn't get a chance to post, so today I'm combining P & Q. There is some debate about the origins of the phrase, minding your Ps & Qs, and today I'm going to use the interpretation of Please and Thank You. Fellow bloggers! We're on the home stretch of the A to Z Blog Challenge and I'm going to check out some more of your wonderful blogs and follow. Please do the same and thank you for following me back!

Hi Chontali!
DeleteLove your name and your blog! :)
Nice to meet you,

I always forget about looking up the meaning and background to "Ps & Qs". Is that what it essentially means--please and thank you? How do you get thank you from Q? Wandering minds wish to know.

There's a lot of debate about where the phrase came from, so this is just one theory. I read that the Q is from kids saying 'thank you' run together, but I think the origin probably originated from the time when typesetters had to be careful with lower case p's and q's. Still, most people today are referring to manners when they say 'mind your Ps and Qs'. :)
DeleteI remember mama saying, "Mind your P's and Q's." Silly eh? Blog hopping today...
